LADY CAPULET at Advice to the Players

After a fabulous rehearsal last night, Advice to the Players presents LADY CAPULET on Zoom tonight. Because of COVID19 epidemic, all the theaters are closed or offering content online or some outside with limited seating. After a fruitful rehearsal lead by Caroline Nesbitt, the founder of ATTP theater in New Hampshire, I reflected on how far we've come. One year before, in 2019, we were in rehearsal with Barefoot Shakespeare for our Central Park debut. The year before that in 2018, Turn To Flesh presented a staged reading in July. And in 2017, LADY CAPULET had its first reading in the 29PWC New Works Series, followed by a Finalist award in the Henley Rose Playwriting Competition for Women. In that first developmental presentation, Twinkle Burke played the Nurse. She had been reading the part at the WriteNow Workshop where I was listening to the show, scene by scene in the Fall of 2016. We've come full circle, and Twinkle is back, playing the Nurse tonight with Advice to the Players. I'm thrilled. I love working with actors repeatedly. They get into the rhythm of the piece and lock in. Now we are at it again. So happy to be on this road again with Twinkle.
